Passing Away Of Mr Important Mkhize Who Served As A Member Of The Legislature Between 2014 And 2019

ATTENTION: HONOURABLE MEMBERS OF THE KWAZULU-NATAL LEGISLATURE

Dear Honourable Members
SUBJECT: PASSING AWAY OF MR IMPORTANT MKHIZE WHO SERVED AS A MEMBER OF THE LEGISLATURE BETWEEN 2014 AND 2019

It is with greatest sorrow that the Office of the Speaker hereby advises the KwaZuluNatal legislature community of the passing away of Mr Important S Mkhize who served as a Member of the legislature during the Fifth Term.

Mr Mkhize served in various legislature committees, and he was the Chairperson of the Human Settlements Portfolio Committee. He will be remembered profoundly as one of the stalwarts that played a key role in the attainment of freedoms that we enjoy in South Africa today.

Our heartfelt condolences go to the Mkhize family, friends and his political organisation, the African National Congress at this sad time. May we remember them in our thoughts and prayers. Honourable Members will be informed of any further update in this regard as and when they become available.
