KwaZulu-Natal Legislature hosts the Men and Boys Parliament.
The Speaker of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature Hon Nontembeko Boyce, together with the Deputy Speaker, Hon Mmabatho Tembe, continued to support the important work of the Men and Boys Parliament, a vital platform aimed at engaging men and boys in building a just, safe and caring society, for its second and last day, today, 06/02/2026.
The second day was further strengthened by the attendance of the Minister of Social Development, Hon Nokuzola Tolashe, whose presence underscored government’s commitment to addressing gender-based violence and femicide, social ills and harmful social norms through inclusive dialogue and shared responsibility.
The Men and Boys Parliament creates space for honest reflection on positive masculinity, accountability, and the role of men and boys in promoting equality, social cohesion and the protection of women and children.
The Men and Boys Parliament was hosted by the Men’s Forum, the South African National AIDS Council (SANAC), supported by the Department of Social Development was a great success. This demonstrated the strength of substantive collaborations in building the South Africa of our dreams.
The KZN Legislature, under the leadership of the Speaker, remains committed to supporting initiatives that advance social transformation, dignity and justice for all, in line with the Constitution.
