RE: LEGISLATURE ACTIVITIES THIS WEEK (10-15 May 2021)
Monday (10/05/21): Today is reserved for party caucuses.
Tuesday (11/05/21): Finance Portfolio Committee will be meeting and also conduct Public Hearings in Bhongweni Hall (Kokstad) on the Division of Revenue Bill, 2021.
The following Committees will also meet to adopt Committee Budget Reports: Transport, Health, Community Safety and Standing Committee on Oversight.
Wednesday (12/05/21): Public Works Portfolio Committee, will conduct oversight visit to St Faith’s Hospital in Ulundi (9am) and move to Catherine Booth Hospital (KwaKhoza) in King Cetshwayo District.
Thursday (13/05/21): Today has been reserved for party caucuses, however if there are any developments Members of the Media will be informed as a matter of urgency.
Friday (14/05/21): Today there will be a Sitting of the provincial legislature (hybrid mode) from 9am to 17:30 for the general budget debate, voting on Finance Committee Budget Report and voting on Standing Committee on Oversight Budget Report. The link to the sitting will be made available on Thursday afternoon but Members of the media can also follow these proceedings on the legislature’s facebook page.
Saturday (15/05/21): This day has been set aside for voter education programmes in Zululand and uMkhanyakude districts. Please see the attached schedule for details of the wards where voter education will be taking place.
