RE: BUDGET SITTINGS MEDIA ADVISORY
Following the tabling of the 2025/26 Provincial Budget by the KwaZulu-Natal’s MEC for Finance Honourable Francois Rodgers on the 25th of March, the province’s Members of the Executive Council are set to present their departmental budgets at the provincial legislature starting from the 24 of April to the 2nd of May this year.
The budget presentations will outline a comprehensive plan to address the socio-economic challenges facing the province such as job creation, reduction of poverty, driving inclusive growth and improve service delivery throughout the province.
Provincial Legislature, which will present its own Budget Vote 2 on the 2nd of May, will intensify its oversight in all provincial government departments and entities to ensure improved service delivery and the betterment of the lives of the people of KwaZulu-Natal.
All budget presentations (see the attached schedule) will begin from 9am and end around 17H00. Members of the Media are invited to attend and cover these presentations. Social media links will be shared in our social media pages where members of the media can also follow the presentations.
